A Day Spa Day in South Haven: What to Expect at Rituals at Lunara
Visiting · 5 min read ·
Most first time guests arrive with the same question. What actually happens at a day spa, and how much of the day does it take? Here is the honest version, start to finish, so you can plan a spa day in South Haven without guessing.
Before you arrive
Book online through our scheduling page, and you are welcome to call or text 616-405-5423 first with a question. Weekend times fill first in summer, so if your trip to South Haven lands on a Saturday, book earlier than feels necessary. Plan to arrive about ten minutes before your appointment. That buffer is the difference between a session that starts calm and one that starts breathless.
We are at 383 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, MI 49090, a few minutes from the beach and downtown. Parking is on site.
Arrival and intake
You will fill out a short intake covering pressure preference, injuries, pregnancy, allergies and anything you would rather we avoid. Your practitioner reads it before you meet, then confirms the important parts in the room. Say the awkward thing here. It makes the hour better.
In the treatment room
Rooms are dim, warm and quiet. You undress to your comfort level and stay draped throughout, with only the area being worked uncovered. Talking is optional. Some guests process out loud, some sleep. Both are normal and neither is wrong.
- Body treatments start at $125, with massage, dry brushing, body polish and body detox options.
- Facial and scalp treatments start at $95, with six current options.
- Sound bed sessions start at $45 and float sessions at $75.
- Nine add ons are listed on the current treatment menu, including cupping and hot stones.
After your treatment
Drink water, move slowly and leave a little air in your schedule. Booking a dinner reservation twenty minutes after a ninety minute massage undoes some of what you just paid for. If you have time, the private cedar sauna or a float session pairs beautifully on either side of bodywork.
The practical rules
Cancellations and reschedules need 72 hours' notice. A no show is charged at 100 percent of the service fee, and arriving late may shorten your session while the full fee still applies. None of this is meant to be stern. It protects the practitioner whose day was held for you.
